W.P.P.G Available Roles
The Group provides an opportunity to meet fellow patients and members of the Committee. In addition, we give practical help in the reception on such occasions as the special ‘flu’ clinics and open days; in fact whenever there is a need for extra bodies at special medical events.
The Surgery@Wheatbridge - Virtual P.P.G.
The Wheatbridge Patient Participation Group (WPPG) is set up to try to ensure that the surgery provides the services patients need by feeding back information from patients and monitoring changes. They recognise that many people are unable to attend meetings due to other commitments and would, therefore, like to broaden the range of patients who take part by setting up a “virtual” section of the WPPG who communicate by email a few times a year.
Patients who are willing to provide their email address for this purpose would be contacted three or four times a year to find out their opinions of the Wheatbridge practice performance, to respond to proposed changes and to feed back to them the results of these consultations and the actions proposed as a result. This should provide inputs from a more representative sample of patients.
Nobody is obliged to give their contact details and anyone who does join is free to opt out from receiving future messages at any time in the future, by sending an email to the organiser.
No questions of a personal medical nature will be asked, only general questions about the practice, such as short questionnaires. Nor will the PPG be able to respond to any medical questions from patients. These should always be directed to your doctor or nurse.
If you are happy for the WPPG to contact you periodically by email please request an acceptance form by email from ianed@live.co.uk, or you can request a Virtual PPG letter from reception at the surgery.
Your details will be kept safely and securely, will only be used for the purposes of the virtual WPPG and will not be shared with anyone else. The details requested are designed to allow us to contact as representative a sample of patients as possible. Thank you.
